The Security Industry Institute (SII) was set up in September 2007 to offer nationally recognised and comprehensive professional security training and placement for security personnel. Security Association Singapore (“SAS”) is the lead trade association representing the security industry in Singapore. Established in 1978, SAS is the first trade association to represent the security and private investigation industry. Formed in 1978, USE is an affiliate of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) representing all persons who are employed in a bargainable capacity in the security and security related services (such as private investigation, enforcement and screening, etc) and who have attained the minimum age under the Trade Unions Act, regardless of race, nationality, sex or creed but excluding all persons who are members of any auxiliary force as defined in the Police Force Act (Cap. 235 of 1985 Edition).
